Nicole Henter

Flute

Nicole Henter was born in Budapest and has lived in Austria since 2006. She is currently studying for her diploma at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Barbara Gisler-Haase. In the course of her studies, she was taught by renowned professors such as Wolfgang Schulz, Karl-Heinz Schütz and, as part of an Erasmus programme at the Munich Hochschule, by Andrea Lieberknecht. She received further musical impulses from Aurèle Nicolet, Andras Adorjan, Emily Beynon, Peter-Lukas Graf, Christina Fassbender, Philipp Bernold and Felix Renggli, among others.

Nicole Henter is a prize-winner of national and international competitions, among others she is 2nd prize-winner of the Third International Franz Cibulka Competition (Graz, 2021), 1st prize-winner of the competition of the Leonard Bernstein Institute of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (2021) as well as of the Prof. Dichler Competition in Vienna, as well as two-time winner of the Hungarian National Competition Jeney Zoltan and the Bantai Vilmos Flute Competition. She is also a scholarship holder of the Anny Felbermayer Fund, the International Music Academy of the Principality of Liechtenstein and the Fidelio Competition.

She also performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician in numerous countries. She has already made her debut in various concert halls in Europe, such as the Vienna Musikverein, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Musikverein Graz, the Philharmonie Concert Hall Budapest, the National Philharmonic in Kiev, where she performed as a soloist with the Ukrainian National Ensemble "Kyiv Camerata". She is a participant of various music festivals, such as the Festival Bonheur Musical (France) or the Sion Festival (Switzerland). As part of Wien Modern 2018, she interpreted Luciano Berio's virtuoso soloist piece Sequenza in the great hall of the Vienna Konzerthaus.

Furthermore, Nicole Henter regularly substitutes in the orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper, ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra, Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich, Vienna State Opera Stage Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Kontrapunkt and the Wiener Concert-Verein.
